    Spanish-born New Yorker, Bea Merry is a Brand Consultant, Photographer and the Founder/CEO at MERRY+, a New York-based globally-minded full-service creative studio operating at the intersection of Arts and Culture, Lifestyle, Travel, Hospitality and Green Energy. With a special focus on upscale, experience-driven, and legacy brands, MERRY+ provides fluidly integrated brand services across strategy, branding, design, production, and marketing. 

    Bea is the Chief Brand Officer of Taste Afar.

    Throughout the past 17 years, Bea and her team of insightful and extraordinary industry experts have built an impressive portfolio of leading brands such as Google, Zagat, Ralph Lauren, HSBC, Disney, Touch Capital, Global Energy Engineering, José Andrés' Think Food Group, Pikolinos, Fun Socks, Roller Rabbit, Loewe, Charriol International, Mercuria Energy Trading SA, Bisila Bokoko African Literacy Project, The Hispanic Society of America and First In Service.

    Bea and her team at MERRY+ drives brands forward through thoughtful creation, cutting-edge innovation, and human collaboration.

    She holds a degree in Law and a Masters degree in Financial Markets. A Fulbright-like scholarship brought her to NYC in 2004, where she went back to school and graduated both from ICP (International Center of Photography) and the School of Visuals Arts (Brand Strategy and Marketing).

  • Chief Cuisine Officer & Co-Founder

    I was born to an Italian mother and a Vietnamese father, both immigrants to the south of France. My childhood was immersed in a blend of Mediterranean and Asian cultures. My Italian grandfather taught my Vietnamese father masonry, while my aunts taught my mother Asian cooking. I loved watching them cook, speaking Vietnamese, and making spring rolls.

    Our Sunday family gatherings were filled with dishes like caramel pork, ginger chicken, and spring rolls, reflecting our cultural mix. As an adult, I moved to Brooklyn, NYC, with my husband, where we raise our family and organize art, fashion, and architecture events. Cooking became my passion, and my diverse background and travels have influenced my culinary skills.

    Now, in NYC, I work with migrant cooks from various backgrounds, helping them integrate and build better futures. We are proud to be part of this ongoing cultural exchange and support system.
